Dr. Ahmad Haydar

FMH-certified specialist in obstetrics and gynecology; attending physician in the maternity ward, Clinique des Grangettes (Hirslanden)

Clinical practice grounded in expertise and dedication

As an FMH-certified specialist in obstetrics and gynecology, I practice in Geneva following a career in university hospitals in French-speaking Switzerland and across Europe. My practice is currently divided between seeing patients at my office in Chêne-Bougeries and providing obstetric care at the Clinique des Grangettes (Hirslanden), where I serve as the attending physician for the maternity ward

Over the course of more than 10,000 deliveries, I have developed specialized expertise in the care of high-risk pregnancies, maternal medicine, complex deliveries, and the management of obstetric emergencies. This role as an on-call hospital physician—known as a “laborist”—combines round-the-clock availability, technical proficiency in procedures, and real-time clinical decision-making.

My commitment extends beyond clinical practice alone: I also train obstetricians and midwives, helping to pass on practical obstetric skills and promote best practices based on the latest scientific evidence.
